A review published in the journal International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases, looked at exercise therapy and ankylosing spondylitis.
The authors conclude that "Home exercise program is the most convenient option...The key to the success of a home exercise program: 1) Consistency, rather than the quantity of administration on a weekly basis, and 2) Patient's adherence for the long-term."
