About Joyce Terzick, Chicago's Support Group Co-Leader
Joyce has a degree in social work and has had AS for 20 years. She has been married for 26 years and has three children. She resides in the Chicago suburbs and would be happy to talk to you if you have questions or would like to chat.


About Kathryn Lange, Chicago's Support Group Co-Leader
Kathy has a Master’s Degree in Special Education and lives in Rolling Meadows, with her husband Ric of 8 years. She was finally diagnosed with AS in 2005, after suffering with some symptoms from childhood. She taught High School Behavior Disorder students for 18 years and had to go onto disability because of AS in 2010. Since going on Disability, she has spent time researching AS and has time during the day to answer questions.

We know that an active role in managing spondylitis, backed by a sound knowledge base, will positively influence its outcome. The people who lead Spondylitis Educational Support Groups play a vital role by providing a forum for those with spondylitis to take an active role in taking charge of spondylitis.
